Privacy Policy

Prosody is a Praxis SLP (5331) exam-prep app operated by Impulse Learning LLC ("we," "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. Questions: [email protected].

1. What we collect

• Account information — if you create an account: your email address and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in readable form. At sign-up you may optionally opt in to receive Praxis study tips and product emails; if you do, we record that consent and add your email to our list. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• Study data — your progress within the app (questions answered, scores, flashcard/review state, settings). If you have full access, this syncs across your devices so you can pick up where you left off.
• Purchase record — whether you have purchased full access, and the associated payment reference. See "Payments" below.
• Basic technical data — standard server logs (e.g., IP address, request time) used to keep the service secure and running.

You can try the first few sample questions with no account at all — if you never sign in, we don't collect your email. To continue past those questions or to save your progress, you create a free account, which requires your email address.

2. Payments

Purchases are processed by Stripe. Your card details are entered on Stripe's secure checkout and are handled by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number. We receive only a confirmation and a payment reference so we can grant your access. See Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.

3. How we use your information

• To provide the app: authenticate you, grant purchased access, and sync your progress.
• To operate and secure the service (prevent abuse, fix problems).
• To respond to support requests you send us.

4. What we do NOT do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not show third-party advertising in the app.
• We do not share your study data or email with advertisers or data brokers.

5. Sharing

We share information only with service providers that run the app on our behalf — our hosting/database provider and our payment processor (Stripe) — and only as needed to operate the service. We may disclose information if required by law.

6. Data retention & your rights

We keep your account and study data while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Account → Delete account), which removes your email, progress, and purchase record from our active systems. You may also email us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data.

7. Children

Prosody is intended for graduate students and professionals preparing for the Praxis SLP exam. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

8. Security

Passwords are hashed, data is transmitted over HTTPS, and access to the full question bank is protected server-side. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

9. Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
